Nah, probably just a combination of bad luck and facing elite pitching.  You have to remember that this is a team so full of good hitters that there's no room to promote guys who are feasting on minor-league pitching.

I remember Caleb having a bat first reputation in the minors and working with Dempsey on his throwing.

....even though Henderson, Rutschman and Westburg actually were promoted and ALSO feasting on minor league pitching at some point.  Ortiz and Stowers feasted to an extent as well.  It's not the lack of promotion that's the problem.....
