Specific Trade Ideas

With so many trade ideas floating about, it seems like a good time to begin posting some specific ones that you've read, heard, or have personally formulated.

Again, not looking for vague ideas such as 'we should try to get a pitcher from Team A', but rather a specific target with at least an approximation of what we'd give up.

  Why not?  I enjoy seeing trade ideas from national writers that may be tuned in to what it may take, as well as posters' opinions and ideas.  Isn't that why we're here... to enjoy Orioles-related discussion?

NORBY + OHTANI is an anagram of Hot on Brain-y.

Assuming Elias uses all his pool money in the next couple weeks, across the 2019-2023 drafts he'll have gotten to take about ~$60mm worth of sweet, sweet cost-controlled draft picks, out of which Norby has drawn about 3% of the total.

Kyle Stowers for Brent Suter.   Suter is having a solid year and would be a nice lefty addition.  Stowers has fallen down the line for us but still has solid power and could be helped out by Coors field.

As I said before, Barlow for Beavers and Prieto. Tony suggested Stowers. All makes sense.

Would also try to get another reliever like Jordan Hicks. Take your pick of 1-2 guys outside of our top 10-15 guys. Lots of possibilities there.

I would personally look to deal Hays or preferably Santander. Santander to either the Mariners or the Marlins. Try to get back Meyer, Woo or Miller. Deal likely to be expanded. Perhaps Urias or Frazier included and other stuff coming back to us. 

Mateo DFA’d…moved to a contender who needs defense and speed off the bench. This is more general, as it could be a lot of teams. Take back whatever. Maybe you like a Cano type guy somewhere…an under the radar reliever that has some characteristics you like that has MiL options.

Love Hicks. What would it take to get both he and Goldschmidt?

I’d  also look to target Jason Foley (love the age, control, and gb rate). Both just him or as part of a deal with E Rod.

That seems like an overpay for a guy that will be a free agent after next year. Plus it’s selling really low on Hall, I don’t think I’d include him on any trades right now.
