Huh? Not sure where you are getting that. I've never been against adding to the payroll.

Oh I know that, wasn't suggesting you are.  The poster you were quoting is very much against adding any payroll, even a little, and even when it makes sense.  You and I are typically on the samge page.

Ohh gotcha. Sorry, totally misread that!

I think Elias is chasing Gilbert, Bryce Miller and or Mitch Keller.

It seems more likely we wind up with one of Matz or Flaherty. I'd feel better about Lorenzen plus Alex Lange.

Bryce Miller for Westburg.

We will wind up with Lorenzen and a reliever.   No guess on the reliever.   Lorenzen comes at the cost of prspect(s) in the 10-20 range.   Either one close to 10 or two closer to 20.

I haven't seen anybody else point it out but he's about 10 innings from his career high.  I'm not sure he solves what they're looking for.

He replaces Wells.  I’m not concerned with previous high innings like a guy is going to suddenly fall apart, unlike Wells who has a history of breaking down.

I'd have the same concerns with this guy as I do with Wells.

Once they get up into unchartered territory, I don't expect their arms to fall off, but I do worry about effectiveness.

I don’t.  As I said, Wells has a history.  You are going to have to worry about Bradish, Kremer, and GRod too.

What were you referring to?  Your post seemed to be responding to Greg's thread in general, not a specific post saying the Orioles should spend a lot of money.

I was referring very specifically to this post here:
