ALDS 2-2-1 Format

I think we need to take advantage of Means being LH and the Wall. I’d like to see,

Game 1 - Bradish at OPACY (10/7?)

Game 2 - Means at OPACY (10/8?)

Game 3 - GR at TB/Tor/Sea/Tex (10/10?

Game 4 - Bradish at TB/Tor/Sea/Tex (10/11?)

Game 5 - Means at OPACY (10/12?)

The ALDS is scheduled to start on Oct. 7th and go through Oct. 13th for the AL. Wishful thinking In parenthesis. 

Would we go with Bradish on short rest?  Kremer to get a start?  Means to only start 1 game?

Means as a LHP has a huge advantage in OPACY.

Putting too much trust in Means after only 2 starts. He's not the Means of old yet.

Bradish 2 games, G-Rod 2 games and Kremer the other probably.

You aren't using just 3 starters in a 5 game series. Impossible

Means at home with the wall is a huge home field advantage. 

I also am fine rolling with any of Bradish, GR, Kremer, and Means. I was just talking matchups. We gotta see who the opponent is too, but I like Means at home.

Interesting article suggesting MLB give the byes to the teams with top 2 records irrespective of division.  I agree 1000 percent.

None of our starters will be used on 3 days rest for any series in the playoffs.

Not sold on Means. He only gave up 1 run last night but did not pitch particularly well. Definitely don't want him pitching two games. But they're not going to go with a 3 man rotation.

Bradish and Rodriguez are 1-2, likely in that order, though interchangeable. Kremer is getting a start in there. I think Gibson gets a spot, but that could change. 

Unconventional, but I don't think a five man rotation is out of the equation.

Means needs to pitch two more times before we decide if and how he’s being deployed in the playoffs.  If the playoffs were starting this weekend, no way I’d be having him pitch Game 2 of a playoff series.  He’s not that sharp IMO.  But after two more starts, depending how he and others do, I might feel differently.

Game 5 is the 13th, not the 12th.  There are potentially 2 off days in the ALDS schedule.

The chances they’re using Means on 3 days rest is less than zero. The only way this happens is if Means pitches game 1.
