Dean Kremer 2024

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to look up the number of "bequeathed runners scored" for a guy? Can't seem to find it on bbref. But I suspect Dean has an above-average amount of inherited runners scored after a reliever comes in.

All 3 of his inherited runners have scored.

Edit: on the players’ BB-ref page, go to advanced pitching, then starting pitching.  There you will see BQR and BQS.   That’s bequeathed runners and bequeathed runners scored.

What an excellent outing by Kremer tonight.   He’s really having a good year so far, though his ERA is mediocre.  Gave us 7 innings when we really needed them.  Only 92 pitches to do it.

By the way, the 447 foot homer that Soto hit wasn’t a bad pitch at all.   Up above the zone but Soto just crushed it.

Kremer doesn't seem to have a lot of fans on this board, but he's a solid pitcher.  Even going back to last year he has a knack for eating quality innings when our bullpen needs it.

6 starts..3 ER or less in 5 of them. The bad Milwaukee start really skews his ERA.

He has been very solid.

You can do better than him but you could do a lot worse too.

Kremer is a great #5 if Bradish and Means actually slot into the rotation.

I still think the O's need another starter and solid bullpen arm before the deadline.

He's making that Manny trade look better and better every month.

Look I like what Kremer has given us tonight and in general. And I don’t want to take anything away from him as a solid starter.

But how many All-star teams and accolades has Manny Machado racked up since he left Baltimore?

We don’t have to rewrite history to prop up Kremer. He’s a really solid starter.

If Bradish and Means are anything close to what they have previously been, the only thing that we will need is a closer and a little postseason magic/luck.

I still dont think Bradish or Means are ready...but its worth a roll of the dice Thursday to see if Bradish can somehow give us 4 innings and then give way to Suarez...

We could go with an internal option as closer like Cano or Wells.  I still think we need another bullpen arm -- maybe even two.  I'm just concerned someone will get hurt again.

Agreed. But... I'm only assuming one of them is going to be solid
