The bottom line is this. Management is placing $ over wins as far as importance this year

Tony should be paying this guy to post. Love the content and his OP is not incorrect. Just seems like a lotta people don’t like his approach, which to me, is more entertaining. And he’s right about people so quick to take the low road.

And when it comes to Foosball, their is only 1 type of table and it’s called Rene Pierre. The Tornado tables are imposters and should all be destroyed for what they did to the game.

Nobody, but NOBODY would trade an Eddie autograph for a used bowling ball that probably doesn't fit anyway.  So much for your credibility...

This makes no sense.

A brand new Hammer Effect bowling ball, given to a guy that bowls, and that cost $200 to buy......for an autograph he gets from his friend?  I mean I could buy an EM autograph online signed on one of his baseball cards for $15.  Or less.

All I said was just get an autograph on a piece of bar napkin written out to me.

GTFO of here with this clown stuff.

This thread is much more fun if you read the OP parts in Macho Man Randy Savage voice.

Oh Yeah!

This thread has dipped well below the Mendoza line. I think It needs to be put on irrevocable waivers.

I understand.  But the way some here personally attack other Oriole fans such as myself, just for having a differing opinion?

Reminds me a lot of political forums.  Which is a big reason why this country is do divided right now.

Dude when your posts boil down, “This my ridiculous opinion, which is really just fact, and you can’t argue against it because I’m so awesome at everything in life”, that’s going to turn people off. It will only naturally cause people to take shots against your claims.

It appears that off-days early in the season can be rough on some of us.

At least it provides the rest of us with entertainment while we’re waiting for a game day.

I recommend the White Sox board, particularly the game threads, for ultimate entertainment.

I can't believe I spent 10 minutes reading this thread. However, in terms of entertainment value per minute, I've been shown worse times by Netflix.

My 2 cents:  Elias is giving us a greater chance at *multiple* shots at the trophy by slow-playing dudes to start this year.

Believe me, I played intramural ultimate Frisbee AND co-ed slow-pitch softball in college.

    • Lots of panic around here right now. Guys forget the Rangers were third in their division and only had 88 wins last season.
    • This is my favorite Basallo clip so far. The swing is so fluid, it looks so effortless and the ball is just absolutely destroyed. It reminds me of homers by prime Chris Davis.
    • The Orioles were bound to hit a rut. Get your hand off the panic button.    The Orioles aren’t signing Bauer. So just Fudget about him. The don’t need to trade Holliday and Kjerstad. I’m okay if he finds a guy worth paying a top guy return along with a few others ala Kirby, Gilbert, Castillo etc.   Stop patting yourself on the back. We lost as did everyone else to a hot Rangers team. We are still 7 up in the top wildcard slot. And as Texas proved is all you have to do is get in to have a shot.
    • It’s becoming unglued?  Because of losing streak that almost every team goes through in any given season?  Really?
    • The Os pen isn’t good. With DC out, they just don’t have any arms you want to rely on. They don’t miss a lot of bats, don’t get a lot of Ks and the walk rate is higher than you want it to be. Kimbrel is fine but nothing special. He has been exactly what I thought he would be and maybe even a little better than that but hes not what we had last year, which was special. Cano is better than a dime a dozen guy but not by a ton.    Baker looks good and maybe he’s poised to have the year some of us thought he would have in 2023 but he has a ways to go to prove that.
    • Yes, I bolded that part to indicate that was to what I was referring.
    • This group hasn’t burned you though. This is the biggest test for Elias since the team got good. The bottom line is the Os need pitching help and they have too much talent in the minors and too many subpar guys in the majors eating up at bats. You built this farm system up and are so proud of it and now it’s time to use it to its full potential.    I understand the Holliday injury likely sets him back until after the AS break, at least but assuming he’s hitting (which he has been or he’s been walking a ton) and once he is able to start throwing pain free, he needs to be up here.  Mayo needs to be up here yesterday.  It’s just time.  Sitting on ML ready top 10 prospects when below average MLers are playing in front of them just doesn’t make sense. You have a glaring weakness of too many lefties and a manager/GM that just won’t play lefties vs lefties. You have McCann playing way too much. Mayo needs to be up here right now. And then you need to use the rest of the system(and maybe ML team), not Basallo, and go get the pitching you need.
