I wonder if he's being totally truthful.

He's only got 22 innings in AA.  18 games with Chattanooga in 2014 and a single inning in Witchita in 2022.

What am I missing that makes the story unlikely?  Is it that no one seems to have stolen many bases on that team?

Just the short period of time he was there it seems unlikely that both of his stories are from that window.

I provided the roster so you could check and see if your guess was a viable option.
