If not for Laz Diaz this game looks a lot different. We are up 3-2 and not stretching Perez out for 40 pitches.

I have no confidence in Perez ...and Palmer agreed with me that he shouldve been DFA instead of Baumann...

This game has veen illuminating. 

I've come to the conclusion that a 6 man rotation won't work with the way our bullpen has to cover so many innings. Many relievers are already over worked and we don't have the contract options to shuttle with Norfolk.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that Gunnar Henderson should  be our top priority to give a long term extension to. Adley is still high on my list but it frustrates me everyone steals bases on him and his pitchers.

That a tough one.  It’s not a ground ball.  Super weak blooper and his first instinct was that he had a chance to catch it.  My question is what was Mountcastle doing?  That didn’t look remotely close to 1B, almost directly to Mateo.  I think that play is a hit 99/100 but only chance is Mountcastle holding 1B and a quick throw from Mateo.  I don’t think Perez would have been able to nearby runner to the bag even if he went right away it would have been really tough.

Palmer also thinks Ryan McKenna is a good player. I know he's your friend, and he's an Orioles HoFer, but I don't know if I'm using "Palmer agrees with me" when it comes to player evaluations. 

I heard him on the radio with Rob Long in a cringeworthy interviews that went from him calling McKenna a really good player and ended with him having a personal conversation about the weather and whether Long was doing games this weekend.

Well he only needs to get through one more inning so odds are, even Hyde can only burn one more reliever. But I wouldn't put money on it!

Does Basallo throw people out?  Maybe Adley can be DH backup catcher if Basallo can actually throw out a guy once in a while.

I don't see how anyone can be blamed for that play. The exact same thing happened to Corbin Burnes. The ball was just hit in no mans land and someone has to field it. It's not like players can sit there and ponder who has the best chance. You react and where that ball was hit, there wasn't a right answer.
