O's Acquire Thyago Vieira

I thought they originally optioned him when he was acquired. Well, he's the Baumann replacement at least.

The guy has a career 6.38 ERA, 1.667 WHIP. 10.1 H/9, 1.8 HR/9, 4.9 BB/9 and 9 K/9. He's 31 years old and they will be lucky to get anything out of him. Seattle, the Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee couldn't. He's likely worse than Baumann, who I have no issue was DFA'd, I just wish they went after a better pitcher to replace him, not worse.

Agreed. I doubt we see Vieira long. He's a lot like Fuji.

Unless he's reborn, he won't last long as he's arb-eligible next year.

Why do they keep wasting the last bullpen spot on these AAAA horrible relief pitchers. I would rather see them call up Povich and use Al as your long guy
