The O's need Urias here till Mateo is healthy.  If he has to be DFA'ed then it's no big loss.  He's our backup at 2B and 3B

Buster Posey could un-retire.    He is only 37 and looked great in 2021 after one year off.     Now...he has had 2 years off!

Medical science and these protective measures are going to make it so that Grayson Rodriguez can annually throw his good fastball for 6 weeks each fall and that is going to enable him Rich Hill style to pitch until age 53.

Somehow I get the feeling that Elias isn't the type of GM who is comfortable officially turning the clubhose over to Adley and Gunnar, as good as they are.  He might have a different understanding of what his job is.

By all means trade Mullins, Mountcastle and Urias if the result is better pitching.

I agree with this and was going to write something similar. 

"Something" imo has affected the team chemistry as of late.  Besides just the losing.    I mean the pitching hasn't been great, or even good lately, but it hasn't been brutally bad.   And we expected that after all of the injuries.    It is the hitting and overall team vibe that seems off to me.   If guys like Hays are beeootching in the clubhouse, along with a few other vets?  It is going to affect the younger guys.  Especially when these vets have not been performing at all AND are blocking the younger guys in AAA that played with and grew up career wise with the younger guys on the parent club.  Guys like GR and AR and CC.  They don't want to hear that crap.  Not when they know there are guys in AAA that can play. 

It is a long season and these guys are around each other almost all of the time.  If an older faction in the clubhouse is causing some friction?  Then it is time to ship them out.....and being honest I and a few others have said that should have happened last off season.   Mullins Urais and Hays being just a few.
