Walks mean very little to guys who strike out a ton of people.

I don’t see how that follows. A guy on base is a guy on base, but if he’s better than Tate and the other cannon fodder, I’m ok with it.

Did I just read the radar right? Burnes went 99 and then 100 to Vlad?

Kinda scared. Hopefully extra adrenaline. Or a bad radar gun lol.  But PTSD hardcore from our 3 TJ guys this year. Don't they say the ligament gets extra flexible and velocity shoots up before it goes bye bye?

For the life of me. I have NO clue as to why Coby Mayo isnt given a chance...hes a RH power hitter and even if he doesnt play 3b he can DH...this is almost criminal to the kid...hes done everything asked of him.

Is he learning 3rd base defense?

They are gaming his rookie status, like it or not. He will be on the team this year.

I'm with Roy on this one.   Why not Mayo?  If all you need is a right-handed bat (let's not kid ourselves into thinking Jimenez is brought in to play the field), why not Mayo who has been hitting well at AAA?  Jimenez, as a hitter, has a WAR of -0.5 this year.   What does he bring?

When Jimenez was 22 he was hitting 31 homers in the MLB. That's a bold statement. I get that he's been hurt a lot, but he's probably not cooked at 27. He's still in the 90th percentile in EV and HH%.
