The Playoffs are no longer a given. Only 5.5 games separate us/ny from the 3WC spot right now. If they keep playing well, and we keep playing 4-6 or worse every ten games, then a spot in the tourney is very much in doubt.

The O’s have Burnes and 4 enormous question marks as SPs, and 7 Hail Marys in the pen, none of whom is reliable. 

Povich and Irvin offer backup cannon fodder at AAA, and that, friends and neighbors, is it.

And then we turn to the defense, or the offense or the other myriad areas where the lads are flailing like a blind man swatting at a mosquito, and things don’t look pretty.

It’s not garbage time when the tying run is on base and the go-ahead run is at the plate.
