It does confuse me that anyone sees the future infield as something other than Westburg, Henderson, Holliday, and Mayo going from left to right.

This makes the most sense from what we know of Mayo's skill set. Unfortunately the reports on his 1B defense have been pretty bad. It has also been said that 1B is a waste of his arm. I wish they had transitioned him to 1B earlier to see if he can learn it.

I thought it would be good to discuss the 2025 options for CF.

1.  Would be keep Mullins in CF.  Mullins is going into his last year of arbitration.  He makes $6.325 this year and should get a raise to the $8-9 million range.  Mullins has a .680 OPS right now w/ 13 HR.  He also is terrible .422 OPS against LHP, so needs a LHP platoon or someone like Cowser sliding over from LF.

2.  Free Agents.  Slim pickings.  Trade for Bellinger.  He has a $27.5 mill player option, with another $25 mill player option left on his contract.  He has a .760 OPS  You would think it's pretty much a sure thing he picks up the option.  Other options include Harrison Bader .700 OPS, Michael Taylor 569 OPS, Kevin Pillar .738 OPS, Aaron Hicks lol.  You can see it's not much of a free agent class.

3.  O's Farm.  There seems to be no one ready to play CF

4.  Slide Cowser over to CF and put Kjerstad in LF and sign Santander to an extension in RF.  Alternatively, put Kjerstad in RF and sign a free agent in left field.

Any other options?

As for the outfield, I like Cowser as a backup CF. I’ve had enough of Mullins as a starter, but not sure what other option we have. I think we ride it out with Ced.

It's not hard to imagine that IF.  Very strong positions 4-6 defensively.  And maybe the strongest offensive IF in the league.  Mayo is the obvious X factor.  Pairs well with O'Hearn in 2025 and Basallo beyond.

Agreed on Ced and Cowser.  Ced thru 2025 and I believe EBJ and Fabian can patch something together for 2026.

With Walltimore, does LF get more attention than SP compared to a "normal" dimensioned field?

I don't know about Mayo at first. If that works out, great. I still think his arm could play in right. We need Cowser in left the next 5-plus years. I picture Honeycutt in center if his hitting works out.
