The choke factor on this team is off the charts. It’s not just that they can’t drive in runners in scoring position, it’s that the vast majority of the time they can’t even put a ball in play with runners in scoring position.

Kevin and Ben left out a key part of the drop-a-soft-liner-to-get-a-double-play strategy: you have to learn/be taught to do it and then practice it. When you do that, it's very low-risk for a guy with baseball smarts -- I don't know whether Holliday qualifies.
