I don't really know why, but I am not excited about Wheeler. It may just be that I don't know as much about him as some of the others.

Really? I think Miller and Wheeler have the same tools right now and they are much younger with some ceiling left.

His slider just hasn't been the pitch it used to be, and without that to play off the sinker, I think he's doomed. Moran has impressed me much more at UNC.

That is scary. Some guys never get the mechanics fixed.

I think those mechanics actually help him. That 3/4 arm slot makes him sick against righties. I've never really seen any concerns about them, wish Lier was around to peek. I'll ask Stotle later.

He reminds me a lot of Arrieta. I think he has some mechanical issues that need to be worked out, but once they are I think he'll be lights out.

ehh i might be alright with it if he drops to the 2nd round. In my mind he project no more than a middle of the rotation guy with an 88 mph fastball. He also got injured and cannot pitch for 6 weeks, stress fracture in wrist.
