Looks like Mora might find a new home.

Apparently three teams might be interested.

“He wants to be on a good team but he also wants to contribute on that team,” Goldschmidt said. “He doesn’t have to play every day. He knows he probably won’t play every day. But he wants a complimentary type of role.”
None of the teams that have expressed interested is in the AL East or NL East, which is where Mora originally had hoped to land so he could stay close to his wife and kids in Bel Air.

That's too bad for his family.

If I were Mora, my ideal situation would be Philadelphia, but he'd have to be willing to accept a bench/PH/veteran presence role and a substantial paycut. It's very close to home and he'd be playing for one of the best teams in baseball. I don't know if Philadelphia can fit him on their roster, but he's still athletic enough to sub in at third and see some time in the outfield, and I think he'd make for a solid bat off the bench for an NL team. In all likelihood he'd see <200 PA and accept a contract worth <3MM. I wonder if Philly would be interested under those terms.

I'm sure that Mora can find a place on an ML roster next year, but it boils down to how he prioritizes these things:

1. Playing for a contender

2. Playing close to home

3. Receiving a substantial paycheck

4. Playing regularly

He'll likely have to sacrifice at least two of these wherever he goes.
