Halliday's a freak... in a good way... no, in a better-than-good way... plus, it's not that he always throws a ton of pitches, it's that he gets more outs out of X-pitches than other SP's do. While X pitches would get Erik thru 5 IP and maybe part of the 6th, the same number would get Halliday thru the 7th...

True. 200 Bedard innings are probably much different than 200 Halladay innings.

Is it just me or does this team seem to be playing with more life now? Clutch hitting, good starting pitching/bullpen and a better attitude.

Hudson got that hit but it is still a good move even if it doesn't work out. He is a weaker hitter from the right side and we now have a 3 run cushion. Big out right there.
