To win or not to win "meaningless" games?

In Keith Law's latest mock draft, he has the Bucs now selecting Taillon and the O's selecting Machado. If memory serves, Law always appears to have the pulse of the draft, so unless there's another Hobgood-esque surprise, it appears Machado will be the O's pick on Monday night.

At the end of last season, the O's had the #2 pick sewn up until they won the last two games of the season. In hindsight, what do you think is more important?

Pro Teams should always try to win those "meaningless games" ( being a sport, all games are meaningless in some way ).

I am tired of playing for a draft pick. Give me a good 50 game stretch where this team plays .500 ball or better, preferably to end the season.

You just do not throw games for any reason. You play out your schedule, and you get the pick you get.
