    • I don’t want to put a sloppy infielder that may go through an adjustment period in just because he hit a lot of home runs in AAA. Urias is the better defender and more of a proven commodity. Granted, Mayo has a ton more upside. But I just don’t know if it’s worth the defensive downgrade in hopes that Mayo can start off hot.  Id really like to see Mayo get more time at 1B or RF. That seems to be where he’ll end up anyways. It feels like the O’s are trying to do the square peg in a round slot game with him.
    • Haha.  I did catch that DP comment with a man on second.   I like her but it’s like they took someone who never watched a game and said “no problem, it’s easy, we’ll teach you”.
    • He’s got eight errors in like 30 games. That’s not good man. It’s simply not good at all. Translate that to the majors and imagine how upset you’d be seeing us lose because he booted a ball. No, Hyde has shown time and time again that defense is just as important as offense. Why do you think he so sparingly uses Kjerstad?
    • Honest question, what is it about Miller that makes him get accolades like this? He’s good, sure, but he’s not worth anywhere close to what these guys were talking about. Like, there are other relievers who could arguably achieve similar results. Its just odd to me that he’s such the flavor of the month right now.
    • I would think of this as a loophole that teams and players were taking advantage of.   Unless MLB gave this same warning three years ago I don’t think the Orioles violated any rules or should be subject to any penalties.  This strikes me as MLB saying “It’s not against the letter of the law but we don’t like it.  We know it’s going on.  Don’t do it anymore or else.
