I kind of agree. He should just play 1B, the heck with the arm. Like, the priority is figure out how to get the BAT up here, not cater everything based on his arm strength. We have Gunnar firing missiles from SS, which is the most important thing. We have guys who can play good 3B and COF. 

Mounty is no slouch, either, but it's clearly the easiest path to the bigs for Mayo. There's just so much IF and OF depth. There's much less 1B depth.

OMG the bomb Mayo just hit was insane.  106.6 EV @ 27 degrees.  Statcast said 408, but that thing went way further.

That ball was going out of any park but the wind was blowing out. Ball probably went 440-450 with the extra gust.

Way longer than 408 for sure. I think 408 feet was where the system lost track of his ball and for sure reason didn't estimate the rest of the flight. Last year he hit a ball so far that the system didn't even give a distance. It definitely had to be 450 feet plus.

I am really looking forward to when he's up and hits HR's that are so far out of Waltimore that the let fielder only makes a half hearted jog watching it go.
