UMDTerrapins
I'd like to see us deal with someone other than the Mets or Cubs someday. Just to prove that we have an up to date rolodex.
orioles119
here's a video that sums up the orioles offseason.http://youtube.com/watch?v=WZ4KTZ2OAcg Well, you're premature.
JTrea81
Maybe if we include Tejada.... Tejada, Hernandez and Bedard for Reyes, Gomez/Milledge, Martinez and Pelfrey/Humber. Now that would be a blockbuster! However, I think the Mets fans would storm Shea Stadium with pitchforks if Minaya traded Reyes, so that would never happen... Boy Howdy
Would anyone be surprised if Jose Reyes comes our way in a Bedard trade? The Mets are not going to trade Reyes. His name only came up in the Santana rumors because the Twins were aksing for him.

I doubt they'd move either though.

Sandwich Pick
I'll have some of what you're smoking. Jones hasn't done anything in the majors, YET. Morrow has just proven that he can be a mediocre setup guy who throws hard with little control. Kemp has already proven to be a top offensive player on the rise. Kershaw projects as a starter which is more than I can say for Brandon Morrow at this point. I agree that if Kershaw reaches his potential, the LAD deal would be WAY better. El Gordo
I agree that if Kershaw reaches his potential, the LAD deal would be WAY better. It would be way better as well because Kemp is a ML LF wno has the equivalent of a full season at .840 OPS.
Sports Guy
Morrow is a closer prospect...I would rather have Meloan or Broxton.

Sandwich Pick
I'd rather have Hu than Broxton. Agreed, it would definitely be more beneficial to get Hu instead of Broxton.
davearm
I'm not sayiing the Mets have the best prospects, but their prospects are definitely getting sold short in this thread. Agreed. People are all gaga over Clayton Kershaw (and rightly so)... well Fernando Martinez is the hitting equivalent of Kershaw... incredibly young for his level, with enormous ceiling. Equating Kemp and Milledge is perfectly reasonable too. I'd be very surprised to see the Mets trade both Milledge and Martinez, but that's an offer that's right there with Kershaw and Kemp. Camden_yardbird
Why are people talking so much about Hu and Broxton/Bedard in a thread about Hernandez and the Mets?
