Admitting you have a problem is the first step toward finding a solution. Cal isn't engaged in scouting or player development. He's a HoF player who happens to have been an Oriole but he doesn't follow the O's prospects with even a modicum of the intensity @Tony-OH does. When I want to know something about an Orioles prospect I come to the Hangout and I look for what @Tony-OH has written about them, first and foremost. I read BA, the Athletic and Fangraphs avidly. But if I have a question about an Orioles prospect, I value Tony Pente's opinion and seek it out. Been doing it since 1996; haven't been disappointed. -

It might not be so bad if the top five can do some damage. The bottom four have done jack lately. So that might not be quite fair to Mateo. -
Fun Fact. In 2018 at the age of 21 in his first 67 games at Frederick (A+), McKenna did this: 301 PA .377 BA .467 OBP .556 SLG 37 walks 45 strikeouts One of the most impressive runs an O’s minor leaguer has ever had.

Gotta give Adley a full day off, though I bet he makes a pinch hitting appearance late in this game. This isn’t a terrible Sunday lineup, but they’ve gotta score some runs for Burnes who they’ve let down in a big way lately. -

Fun Fact(s): The word "oriole" comes from the Latin word aureolus, which means "golden". Orioles are part of the Icteridae family, which also includes meadowlarks, bobolinks, grackles, and blackbirds. Baltimore orioles can live up to 11 years in the wild, and 14 years in human care. Bobolinks and grackles? Aren't they from a Dr. Suess book? 😁
