After 2 days off this week, I wish Weiters (6-11 with 2HRs against Moore) was in the lineup. Need to stop thi slide any way possible.

I'm surprised not to see Wieters DH'ing against Moore as well. Guess they want to find out ASAP what they have in Valencia since it may influence their plans for Reimold.

Matt Moore has gas given out 26 free passes (25 walks, and 1 hit batsman) in 48 innings this season. He has thrown at least 100 pitches in all 8 of his outings this season, including 3 in which he went 5.33, 5, and 5 innings in his 2nd, 6th, and 7th starts, respectively. In those 3 starts, his pitch-counts were:

106 (54 Strikes, 52 Balls)

101 (53 Strikes, 48 Balls)

104 (56 Strikes, 48 Balls)

By the way, I'm not necessarily predicting that we will get to Moore today. I'm simply pointing out the only weakness that I could possibly find in an otherwise outstanding pitcher, and hoping that we can somehow exploit that to our advantage.

Good lineup but I would prefer Navarro over Casilla. I guess Buck is making a point that you don't play if you make two errors in one game.

Playing the numbers:

Showalter has started Yamaico Navarro at second base in the last three games, but he's got an interesting decision to make tonight. He wants to take an extended look at Navarro, but Alexi Casilla is 14-for-24 (.583) against Sabathia.

Wow. For every great pitcher, there is always some random nobody that dominates them. I believe Jeff Reboulet used to own Randy Johnson.
