I don’t think I would, no. And I don’t think that’s enough for the Sox (in their eyes) anyway. -
That first play was not routine. Anyone with a weaker arm wouldn't have gotten the runner at first. -

I hear you, but Elias doesn’t have to hit a straight flush here and go for the gusto. He just needs to make a 1-1 replacement for Bradish for this year. He’ll have all offseason to worry about next year’s rotation. I see the voting is pretty close to 50/50, which means this trade probably hurts enough that it might be realistic. The thought in MLB seems like you have to give pitching to get pitching. Povich is in our rotation, so that leaves McDermott as our best possible pitching trade chip. Texas does this because they immediately replace Scherzer with McDermott for the rest of the season and possibly have a rotation piece for 6 years. Their lineup isn’t that bad considering they have Jung out and their OF is underperforming. If we could do a 1-1 here with McDermott for Scherzer, and then have Norby and Stowers to buy relievers, then that would be a huge win. It kind of falls in line with our trades for Burnes and even Flaherty. -
Would you do Povich, McDermott, Norby, Beavers for Crochet? Is that enough for the Sox?

Combine Mateo and Urias production and its just under .700 is what I meant.

Yeah the logjam in the OF is more of a problem to me than finding a place for Mayo to play in the near term. I don't think the team will move Santander and I don't think there is a market for Mullins, so its either trade Kj or Cowser or do a 4 player rotation out there to keep everyone fresh (frankly I don't mind that).
