Damn. If we had just gotten that runner in from 3rd base with only 1 out in the top half of the inning, Jimmy Johnson would have been in there instead of Tommy Hunter.

There's no guarantee that J.J. would have saved it, but it's likely that he would have.

Oh, well. On to tomorrow's game.

Didn't we lose our first couple of one run games last year I think. Watch out for us to go on another tear. ;)

We lost our first two extra-inning games--both of them vs. the Y's, incl. one on a bad call at the plate when Markakis had clearly beat the throw home--and then went on to win *16* straight.

Tommy Hunter needs to be a one inning pitcher, clearly.

When he was a starter, he was actually pretty good through the first few innings. Of course, his pitching style was probably different in that situation. Now he seems to just throw straight heat without mixing in any other stuff (cutters, change-up, etc.).
