I know the hitting today has been a joke but sometimes you need to step up as a starter. Our starters need to start getting big outs late in games. This is why I don't think wins and losses are irrelevant for starting pitchers.

Somebody also needs to figure out why our starters so often flop in the sixth inning.

Francisco "HR-Rod" Rodriguez should pitch for the Padres. Petco Park is one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in the world. You'd have to be Chris Davis or Yoenis Cespedes to hit a home run here. Or JJ Hardy.

Anywhere else, that Rivera fly ball would have been way out, as is usual for Fail-Rod. I hate that guy, and I hate the fact that we acquired him.

He doesn't exactly set himself to field his position, that's for sure. Of course, most of the hits he gives up aren't anywhere near the mound.

He got away with a breaking ball but he didn't pitch the same way that is for sure. Hitter had no idea what pitch was coming.
