He is a GREAT fielder.

But, in all fairness, he does have a decent bat with pop and has won a bunch of games for the team.

Yes, Machado could give you similar or better production. Flaherty may not field as well, and wont hit as well, Casilla may field the position but can't hit. I won't even address Jones.
