I think it wOuld be a mistake to trade him prior to seeing him pitch while healthy at the beginning of the season. He's got a great chance to improve his value and we can move him AFTER Gausman forces his way into the rotation.

I don't trade pitching. Gausman needs time in AAA. Bud may work into the BP. I

just believe he has a place on the team. IMO

Which I think is the key to what Roch says there- that they are still looking. If they acquire another, then go ahead and move Norris.

If you can acquire Santana, who I believe is a significant upgrade, then moving Norris's $5.3MM salary makes sense.

If you look closely at the stats, his GB% has gone up significantly over the last 3 years, and 2013 was a career high 46%, which would play just fine at OPACY. This increase coincides with him featuring his sinker significantly more, so the gains appear legit.

He's not really the FB pitcher that his reputation would seem to indicate.

Which is the outlier over the last four years, and was the by-product of a completely unsustainable 18.9% HR/FB ratio (his career number is 11%).
