That right there (play at plate) is how we will be playing that this season. Apparently that will be different from other teams. There was an article (or blurb) recently that Buck wants to play home just like Hardy does at second where you let the runner come to you, standing behind the bag and apply the tag in front of it - but letting the runner have a clear path. It will apparently give Matt more time to read the play/bounce too since he won't have to try to swipe tag.

Glad to see it in action.

Is this board ahead of the announcers, who are just now saying this. Gotta Love O's Hangout.

BTW, Scott, Me 3 is still here.

2nd unnecessary throw that advances another runner to 2nd.

Wieters flubbed the throw, though. The 2nd baseman faked cutting the throw off, and the runners held. They didn't advance until after the ball had gotten away from Wieters.

The throw was way off line, but Matt has to knock that down, and keep it in front of him.

Lot of hits for Tillman tonight. How'd he look?

Like the big top of the rotatation guy that he is for us. A bunt hit and two shift beater dribblers past Schoop. A couple well struck, but you will have that with him. He was around the zone all night. Had a couple pitches on the black called balls.

Zach was nasty as heck again.
