There really should be no excuse. This is the worst hitting club in the majors. And letting them smack around Tommy in back to back appearances is disgraceful.

I supported Hunter prior to the start of the season. But he's quickly approaching a 2.000 WHIP which is downright unacceptable. He's terrible out there.

It's time for a change NOW. We cannot afford to lose these games. You can lose to HOU but not like this game. It's not acceptable.

Maybe buck only gets paid by the level of ninth-inning dramatics? So wish Britton could have been allowed to come back out for the last inning. Oh well.

Its been clear since the second week of spring training that ZB had the best stuff in the bullpen and should have won the job that was "supposedly" up for grabs.

The problem with removing Hunter is a switch in roles... if you move Britton to the closer spot, then you have to find someone to take his spot in the 8th as the LHSUM. Is Patton that guy? Who really knows. It would be great if he was, but the O's will probably give him away for a no-hit defensive catcher. Do the Orioles have another option to fill Britton's role if he is moved to the closer role? That is the question. Hunter has been very lucky and it looks like that luck is quickly running out.

/goes to see if Britton is available in fantasy leagues

Wasnt it Bill James that said the 8th inning setup role is more important than the closer? Hunter has been pretty mediocre, just not sure who else they can use besides Britton. And Hunter would probably just be taking that spot.
