Where will Reimold go? (Update: DFA)

Rollin' Nolan's rehab assignment ends this weekend. After that time he must either be put on the 25 man roster or exposed to waivers.

Is this the last we see of him in the Orioles organization?

He is hitting .359/.462/.590 at Bowie right now through 13 games.

To me it's simply him vs. Delmon Young.........which one would you prefer on the active roster? Delmon has an .802 OPS at the moment with sporadic playing time.

My gut says Nolan is exposed to waivers and I think he leaves Baltimore.

It's been a heck of a ride.

My gut says that we will trade Delmon to make a spot for Nolan. I'm not sure how I feel about this though. I do know that I have zero faith that Nolan can stay healthy for the whole season.

I think the O's keep Delmon. Reimold's health is not to be trusted. Not when the O's have an option like Young.

The 500K salary should not stop a team from claiming Reimold. His health history will slow some clubs down though.

If I am a seller and I have a corner outfielder I am looking at moving then I am definitely considering picking up Nolan. Worse case you cut him in a couple weeks best case he hits and you trade him next month.

Yea, I think the salary actually makes it more likely he WOULD get claimed. Especially for a team that is struggling offensively (NY?, Boston?).

I think we are dramatically overrating Reimold's value here. Peguero is more valuable. Reimold can't stay healthy and can barely play the OF. He missed games in this rehab stint, come on now. I like him but geesh....

It's hard to imagine the Red Sox wouldn't claim him. Any offense he'd bring to their outfield for 500k would be a plus.
