How Long Till MLB Tries To Ramp Up The Offense?

Obviously this goes beyond steroids leaving the game. Offense has been on a steady decline for years now. Some of us don't mind this but MLB has shown a tendency to prefer offense.

So do they start making changes and when?

Any idea what those changes might be?

I think some form of computer assisted strike zone would eventually go in line with the birth of replay. The potential shrinking of the strike zone could increase OBP and boost offensive numbers.

I'm guessing they won't do anything. More offense leads to longer games. MLB is trying to reduce game time.

Baseball is exciting right now and home runs are still being hit. It's not like we're talking about the late 60s here. Maybe once we see a repeat of 1968 people will say "this has gone too far" but I don't see that happening.

I love it. The only changes I'd like to see are strict enforcement of the 12 second rule for throwing pitches and making hitters stay in the batters box/limiting timeouts. The other thing is clarifying the catchers rule.

Yeah I dont see a problem. The fans are still coming out and as some have said......they need to speed the games up.
