All honeybees in Arizona are killer bees. CCD has not been affecting them. Handling their removal is totally different than how normal honeybees are handled.

I watched this whole documentary on Killer Bee control specialists in Arizona. Pretty cool stuff.

They use smoke to pacify, soapy water to take down the bees, then they also harvest the honeycombs and sell the honey.

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/queens/massive-40-000-bee-hive-found-bedroom-queens-home-article-1.2227518

A Queens home was crawling with bees, nesting and building honeycombs under the bedroom floor. Retired NYPD Beekeeper Tony Bees extracted them.

The extraction took more than two hours. Honey dripped off the massive honeycomb as it was pulled piecemeal from under layers of siding and plywood by the beekeeper.

This infestation had a sweet outcome. The queen bee was found and the entire colony will be relocated upstate by another beekeeper.
