I will be interested to see whether there is any effect on Sano's power post-TJ or whether he will fully recover. If there is a downside for some offensive players, we might end up being happier with Reyes than we would have been with Sano.

The problem with getting so worked up about 16 year-old Dominican prospects is that it takes forever for them to reach the Majors or flame out, so you are constantly reminded of the Orioles failure to sign them. Sano has been on Baseball America's top 100 list for six consecutive years. I would be shocked if that has ever happened before. If it makes you feel any better, he had Tommy John surgery so if he is anything like Matt Wieters or Dylan Bundy, his career is over.
