I thought Thorne said the Orioles wanted to get Weaver's pitch count up. He threw 120 pitches in his last start.

The problem with that strategy is that I don't think it is possible for our hitters to not swing at an 84 mph fastball no matter where it is at...or even if it is in fact a curve....or an 80 mph changeup.

Glad I'm not the only one seeing that Weaver has apparently brought along his own HP Ump for this game. Seems any close pitch he throws is getting a called strike.
