Drew Pomeranz is NOT an answer the O's should even consider (Red Sox)

The Red Sox farm may not be as good as it has been soon. They have traded away a lot of guys and now wit heir sanctions in international signing they will not be able to restock these guys as easily.

The sanctions hardly did anything to them. They weren't going to sign any big $ guys this year anyway.

And I didn't even want Pomeranz. Just sucks this sets the market. Red Sox just made it harder for us to improve.

I would not have offered more than 3-4 guys in the 5-15 range of our system for him and if they don?t take it, move on."

OK, they gave up a top 15 prospect. But they got a guy who was the #30 prospect in MLB in 2011.

I have a sickening feeling that we're gonna get stuck with some scrub via waiver trade.

When Pomeranz costs the 15th best prospect in baseball, I'd say that's a pretty safe bet.

They have the means to get whoever they want. Both with money or trade pieces. Twist the rest however you want. I never said it guarantees wins. Hell, O's fans are upset over losing a run of the mill SP like Kyle Davies? The Red Sox just traded a top 15 prospect, and still could get Teheran if they wished to unload more prospects. The Orioles could trade what little it has left for Jeremy Hellickson.

I don't know about Kyle, but I wish we had kept Zach instead of getting Parra. I am sure the Sucks "got whoever they wanted" when they signed Sandoval. Fortunately our team is better than the Sucks so that if we add even a mediocre guy like Hellickson or Santana, we will still win.

The Red Sox know the AL is wide open. I didn't really want Pomeranz but would be nice to see the Os make a couple of moves because this is a pretty good year to make a run. No clear cut favorite or juggernaut in the AL.

So the Red Sox get 2 1/2 years of Pomeranz for an 18 year old kid.

Ughhh...this kid doesn't sound like any just any regular 18-year-old. BA has him the 15th best prospect in all the minors! Steep price I'd say.

Could be wrong but I think that Boston seriously overpaid. I don't think Pomeranz is as good as he has shown this year.
