Right now we only have three starting pitchers, and the guys on the 40-man (Wright, Wilson, etc.) do not appear to be good options. The extra spot could be for the next man up.

So the O's will probably need some relief re-enforcements. Lefty Andy Oliver and/or Richard Rodriguez can both offer the O's some length in the pen.
