I like Matt, but I'm getting tired of these defensive lapses.

Someone showed the stats on this. I don't remember the exact number but I remember it was that we were the most robbed out of any team by a good margin.

I remember that, and that would seem to not necessarily be that surprising.

The Orioles lead the league in home runs. So they hit so many home runs, the opponent probably has a lot of chances to rob them.

Also, if the opponents have their outfielders generally playing very deep because of the fact that the Orioles hit as many home runs as they do, it would stand to reason that they would be more likely to have a chance to rob one, because of them positioning themselves closer to the fence in the first place.

This was discussed a few weeks ago and IIRC the Os led baseball with 7 HRs taken away (this was around the the of the Upton robbery in SD). Two teams were tied for 2nd with 2 each (White Sox and Indians maybe?)

Talk about bad luck, could have even a bigger lead in home runs.

If we can not re-sign or extend Manny because of Weiters and Davis contracts then Ill be disappointed

Now that you mention it, you have a point.

I hope that we don't rob them of any home runs, because of the reason that you said.

But I WOULD like the Orioles to snag some foul balls that ordinarily would not be in play in most other stadiums, and/or run a couple of balls down that are hit very deep that might otherwise be home runs in most other stadiums.

That sounds like a good compromise. Let's sign an OFFNY-O's84-Orioles pact. :beerchug1:
