I saw it in the thread about DD's interview on Sirius. It appears the O's have budget for at least one biggish acquisition. I have a feeling it is more likely to be Wieters than Trumbo. Bigger need for the Orioles, less market. The one thing working in favor of Trumbo satying with the O's is the QO.

I don't think he's going to stay in Baltimore, honestly.

Where do you see him going

The only thing that I have seen is maybe the Rockies for 1st base, but costing a draft pick is not something that Colorado is wanting to give up.

I could see Texas making a play.

You just know Buck is going to put him back in the outfield.

Batting  with an OPS of 1.082 in their 87 wins, points out, maybe Buck knows what he is doing, sometimes.

Colorado, Texas, Cleveland on a 1 year deal and the Mets if he comes on a 1 year deal and

Why on earth would they want him back? I dont even care about the pick, its his OF defense that made him a poor fit. Trumbo isnt worth what the O's offered unless they seriously low-balled him.

Colorado has already committed to a high payroll and with the loss of a pick. I dont see it happening there.

Trumbo wants more than a one year deal.

I don't see the Mets, either, being realistic suitors.

Wow. According to Roch on Twitter the O's offered 4/$70M, and Trumbo is holding out for 4/$80M. I really hope somebody beats our offer, but I have a feeling we are already bidding against ourselves. That is a lot for a 1 WAR OF/DH.
