Tillman is Back

I'm guessing he's been holding back just a little in rehab. Now he will pitch harder to get the velocity back. I hope he doesn't hurt his arm.

Pleasantly surprised thus far. OK velocity, decent control post first inning. Hopefully can cruise through this 3rd inning.

I'll be the first to admit that I was expecting a Yovani Gallardo situation with Tillman this season. 

Granted this has been against the White Sox but he has looked good.  Velocity could be couple ticks higher but it seems like he has enough pitchability to get by at 88-91.  

If we can get an effective Tillman for the rest of the year that is huge for us.

Awesome job after the first. Glad he is back, and hopefully he can continue to get better.

One more chapter in the "spring training/rehab stats mean nothing" book.     I'm really happy to have Tilly back, even though the guys who have filled in have done a great job.

I stand corrected, and pleasantly surprised. That was a great first outing back, although certainly nowhere near as good as we have seen him in the past. This is a real shot in the arm, I hope he can build on that start.

2nd start is against the Royals. Looks like Buck and Dan times it well.

It's still a major league lineup. And people had Tillman done after getting hit hard by minor leaguers.

That's honestly where a healthy Tillman is usually at. 90ish seems to be where we can usually expect Tillman. Definitely not the 86-87 that I was expecting after hearing some of the reports. He'll build arm strength, but 89-91 is a good start.
