I was listening to the Diamondbacks' broadcast of tonight's Orioles game .........

(DIAMONDBACKS ANNOUNCERS)

On this date in 1991, Nolan Ryan won his 308th career game, and Rich Gossage got his 308th career save ........ in the same game !!!

It was also Ryan's 545th consecutive start without missing one due to injury.

Are those the same spurs that he wouldn't get surgery to fix when he was with the O's or a new set?

Don't know but he's been dealing with them all year.   Had one stint on the DL, then almost had surgery in (I think) late June or early July but decided to try to keep pitching with them.

Just fact checked myself.  He actually had surgery to deal with the ones he had with the O's ( August 2011).
