FWIW: both MLBTR and Dave Cameron had Cashner at 2/$20 mm, while Fangraphs’ crowdsource had him at 2/$22 mm.

Perhaps because he’s gone away from his four seam FB in in favor of a two seam FB. As I remember he had one of the better GB rates.

Miley had darn good stuff, trouble is, he didn't trust his stuff and tried to nibble too much and end up walking guys.

Oh, I'm not worried about  the why. I'm worried about how sustainable it is. 

Those numbers as a groundball pitcher looks like when Britton was a starter.

Cashmere never struck out more than 5 batters last year and only did that once.  He also only gave up 5 runs max in any game and that happened 4 times.  He knows how to pitchnn and that will help him out perform his peripherals every time.
