That is a fantastic slow pitch softball lineup.

That's funny. That's what I said when they had Davis, Trumbo and Alvarez. On one hand you have three guys that strike out a lot, but on the other hand they are all a power threat. It's like a power redundancy, which isn't all bad, but risky. If they are cold at the same time it's worthless, but if they are all on, then we can score 8+ runs that game.

I'm gong with:

1. 3B - Tim Beckham

2. 2B- Jonathan Schoop

3. SS- Manny Machado

4. CF- Adam Jones

5. 1B- Chris Davis

6. LF- Trey Mancini

7. DH- Mark Trumbo

8. RF- Colby Rasmus

9. C- Caleb Joseph

SP - Kevin Gausman

Seems like a winner to me.

I particularly like this one because it’s the only one I’ve seen that doesn’t have the black hole of Davis and Trumbo back to back.

I saw enough of that last year.

Whats your opening day lineup?

Jones - CF

Schoop - 2B

Machado - SS

Davis - 1B

Trumbo - DH

Mancini - LF

Rasmus - RF

Beckham - 3B

Joseph - C

SP - Gaus/Bundy?

Thinking about it, our lineup is pretty stacked, but we do need Davis, Machado, Trumbo to rebound to be competitive.

That is a good looking lineup when they are all clicking, and looking at it, its easy to see why Uncle Peter would want to go for it one last time.  That said, we still need pitching.  If by some miracle we bring in Lynn or Cobb, we could surprise people this year.  We let our final record shade our opinion of last season, but we shouldn't forget that even with the highest starter ERA in the Orioles history, we were still within a game of the second wild card on September 1.  Get one of Lynn or Cobb and let's give this thing a shot!
