I saw he elected for free agency on Nov 2nd, 2018.  I wonder if he'll still try to comeback as a pitcher.

He is currently playing for Jalisco in the Mexican Winter League.

In 33 games, he has played 11 at first and 22 in right field. 0 as a pitcher. .276 average with 7 home runs.

I wonder if that’s just because he can’t physically pitch right now but can technically play baseball...

I thought the deal was we would still let him play winter ball for extra cash as a hitter if he gave pitching a try for us.

He is a free agent, so he doesn't have to work on pitching now if he doesn't intend to sign with the Orioles.

I kinda figured that pitching was the way he was going to save his career, not necessarily a mandate from the Orioles.

Also depends on his arm. Like you said, he might not be able to pitch. He only had 2 outings this year in GCL and was shut down.
