Probably not. Orioles are one of the very few teams who do not rely on analytics for many of their decisions, and analytics say Bleier is awful so most teams probably wouldn't want him. Why do you think the Yankees DFAed him after he posted a sub 2 ERA for them?

I'm curious about that. I understand that some of the Orioles' decisions are made or heavily influenced by one or more Angeloses,, or by Showalter. Has it been stated somewhere that analytics are not a significant factor in the team's other decisions?

Analytics are used. now you can argue whether the right people are providing those analytics.
