Make Bowie a winner, then bring them all along together

Most of the players received in the July trades are playing at AA Bowie.  If I were emperor, I would move the best players in the organization to Bowie, even if that means dropping a level or two, and allow them to crush the competition.  These guys would learn what it is like to be winners.  Then, next season, bring them all up to AAA together and see how that works.  After they destroy the International league they will be a cohesive unit capable of bringing a World Series to Camden Yards!

Maybe that is why Ortiz was called up. Norfolk is closing in on the playoffs.

Notwithstanding the importance of winning in the minors (or lack of importance), each prospect should be playing at an appropriate level for his own development.  Any suggestion to do otherwise is a poor one IMO.

RIght Idea, wrong team.  Norfolk is the minor league team that is in the playoff hunt.  There are also some guys in AA that have earned promotions.  At some point they could get a boost from Mountcastle, Diaz, Akin, Hays, Kline, etc...

Here's a question.... Is it better to have the prospects in AA & AAA play in a playoff chase, and possible playoff games in AAA, or have them up to Baltimore as September call ups?
