Do you really need to be told when all anyone needs to do is look at his demeanor before and after at bats, his "CYA" statements about his off season work, and his own statements in the SI article?!  For those that say a buyout is not possible, I say this:  his apparent misery can be leveraged against him.  "Chris, we can see you're not happy.  Neither are we.  How about we work something out?"  Otherwise, trot his a$$ out there everyday and put the suck on display and break him.  He seems on the verge of that anyway.

I’m extremely doubtful that he’ll give up any money.    And in my opinion, people who think the O’s can increase the pressure on him by benching him are kidding themselves.     For $23 mm/yr, he’ll sit however much it takes.

Put him in the bullpen. Make him pitch. He's done it before. He can do it three or four nights a week.
