Hyde is changing it up again. Looks like all position players will have appeared in at least one of the first three games. Let's see what they've got. Looking forward to seeing Severino for the first time. Kind of thought Alberto might get a start today.

Go O's.

If Crush can get starts against lefties, why isn’t Mullins? At least his glove (supposedly) is plus.

Could this be the O's saying, "go try and keep your job."  If he doesn't perform now, could he be cut soon?

I'm sure at some level it is.  The question is does "perform now" mean 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years.

I see something like this as Hyde/Elias saying, "let me see it for myself, and if i hate it and it gets in the way of how I'm trying to coach/build this team, he's gotta go."  This lineup is the least Hyde/Elias friendly of the three so far.

First couple days had given me hope that we would see very little of Mancini in the outfield, so this is a disappointment.  Hopefully it isn't a regular thing.

If Nunez plays he is going to be a DH. Where else will he play if Davis plays?

Davis should sit vs lefties, Mancini should be at first.

Vs righties -- occasionally at least Nunez can take a day off and Mancini can DH.   And if Davis isn't performing vs righties then he too can sit some of the time and Mancini can play 1st.

I'd hope doing that you wouldn't have to use Mancini in the outfield more than 30% or 40% of the games.   At least until Trumbo gets back.
