It's worth noting that his career line at AA is .286/.379/.452 in 665 PAs. Why not push him?

I said earlier I'd like to see them at an all-star level to move up in most cases, but he has a year in at AA and is starting to come around. I don't see how it would hurt at this point, even if he ends up staying at Norfolk for a couple of years.

It probably is something like that, the organization does not release that type of information.  It's just like the Adam Hall temporary inactive status.

What is the logic for making everything such a secret? If the Orioles' organization is so much more advanced now, you'd think they would have a little more transparency for the fans they are asking to stick with them through rebuilding.
