I was correct! Cowser 7 (443, 439, 438, 432, 430, 430, 425) Santander 6 (442, 440, 437, 436, 431, 425) Henderson 1 (430) It’s kind of surprising that Gunnar only has one homer of 425+. Mullins and Mountcastle each have two. Cowser and Mountcastle are tied for longest O’s homer of the year, at 443. -
I think Juan Cabada is linked to Cubs. -
Assuming Basallo ends up being the O's 4th #1 prospect in a row (at least in some publications), I thought it would be fun to hear people's ideas for who could conceivably become the O's 5th straight #1 prospect. To be clear, I don't think there is anyone left in the O's minors after Mayo and Basallo graduate who is even remotely likely to rise to #1 -- but if someone DID shock the world with a meteoric rise -- who would it be and why? -
I say that getting the home field advantage is a big deal. I’m starting to really get a good feeling about this team with Westburg, Urias, Mountcastle and Coulombe back. So I really don’t care who we play. We are going to have to beat the best anyway, in order to achieve the goal. -
I imagine it'll be Kremer, but there will be a quick hook to Suarez or GRod, assuming GRod doesn't get the opener assignment. -
Austin Hays returned yesterday from a 3-week IL stint due to a kidney infection. It’s been a rough year for Austin. I hope he does well in the postseason.

Jim and Ben made a good point after the game last night. Kremer seems like a guy that likes pitching in big games and seems to fare well, at least in regular season games. Suarez also has experience coming out of the pen, so if Kremer starts getting roughed up 2nd time through the order, Suarez could come in and give you 3+ comfortably. But in a longer series, you'll want/need a 4th SP, so if the Grayson long-man experiment never comes to fruition, both of them will be in the rotation for the ALCS if we get that far.
